Red Line Whiskey Co. Adds Another Double Gold Medal To Its Collection

Red Line Whiskey Co. is proud to announce that their Straight 6-Year, Single Barrel, Cask Strength Bourbon has once again received a double gold award, this time at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits competition. This impressive achievement comes just one year after being awarded a double gold medal at the 2022 New York Wine & Spirits competition. In addition, the bourbon recently received a score of 92 from Whisky Advocate. It's worth noting that this prestigious competition, which has been held annually since 2000, is one of the most respected in the industry and attracts entries from distilleries all over the world. The judges of the competition are experts in their field, including distillers, sommeliers, and spirits writers.

The Straight 6 Year Bourbon from Red Line Whiskey Company impressed the judges with its exceptional quality, balance, and flavor profile. The bourbon is made from a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley - then aged for six years in new American oak barrels. The aging process results in a rich, complex bourbon with notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak, balanced by a spicy rye kick and a smooth finish.

One of the Judges Zach Johnson who is also a Writer for UPROXX, Had these tasting notes in his recent article:

Nose: There’s a lovely sweetness that arrives on the nose with a hint of burnt sugars and brown butter just starting to coalesce into caramel with a flake of salt and a sense of rum-raisin and an echo of charred oak.

Palate: The palate leans into a light apple compote with a hint of plum and plenty of wintry spices next to vanilla and wicker before the warmth of the ABVs peak on the mid-palate.

Finish: The end is soft and supple with a sense of spiced prune jam, old porch wicker, and allspice berries.
